I'm Matt Anderson, an underwater and wildlife photographer passionate about conservation.

I called the BVI home for the past seven years, where I was fortunate to spend most days diving the territory’s reefs and wrecks. As a dive instructor and guide, I learned the behaviors and patterns of the local sharks, turtles, rays and other species, allowing me to best showcase them for my students and guests and to capture some of their “picture perfect” moments.

But I’ve also seen firsthand how climate change, natural disasters, and human behavior have changed our oceans. I’ve seen rampant coral disease, turtles who have been hit by boats and swallowed trash, sharks with bullet wounds, and other shocking proof that we aren’t taking care of our world the way we need to. And I want to share some of those moments with you too.

The ocean and nature give us so much, and it’s time we start giving back.

Thank you for visiting and supporting Matt Anderson Photography. Follow along as I strive to capture captivating moments, inspire change, and make a difference.
